Talk: Light

12 Jun, 2025, 5.00 PM @ Atelier Gardens

Event language: English

In this talk, Anita Simonović and Tara Babić speak about the role of art and activism in times of political and social crisis. They dive into the story behind the exhibition Light – A Glimpse into Serbia's Protest Movement – a powerful, ongoing visual response to the student protests in Serbia. This photo exploration brings together works by 26 photographers who captured the emotions, energy, and resilience of a generation demanding change.

Anita and Tara, both deeply involved in the movement and the creation of Light, share insights into the making of the exhibition, its role as a living archive, and how art becomes a tool for resistance and remembrance. The talk invites visitors not only to reflect but also to experience the exhibition firsthand — a space where truth, art, and activism meet.
