Rainer Rother

Dr. Rainer Rother has been Artistic Director of the Deutsche Kinemathek and Head of the Berlinale Retrospective since 2006. A scholar in German studies and history, he led the DHM’s film archive and curated major exhibitions. He is a prolific film historian, author, and editor of books on topics such as Nazi cinema and filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl.
