The Tempest of Neptun

Oct 16, 2024, 8.00 PM @ Aquarium

Event language: English

In The Tempest of Neptune, director Katarina Stankovic examines the small Croatian island of Vis, which has remained closed to tourism for many years. That is about to change as the island is now home to an old fish factory purchased by a Dutch investor who plans to convert it into holiday apartments. Fishermen, young people, and local workers gather to discuss how tourism will transform their island. It's an important film about sustainability and community, which we are showing in aqarium, an inclusive space for meeting, networking, and working together, nestled in the middle of bustling Kottbusser Tor. This space hosts discussions, seminars, art projects, and consultations and will feature a Q&A session with the film director, allowing the audience to further discuss the questions raised by the movie. This event is free.
