From art to environmental protection, from social issues to personal stories: The Dokumentale program is diverse and spans a wide range of worlds.

The first confirmed film highlights of the programme reflect the thematic diversity of the Dokumentale.

»My Fathers Diary«: Ado Hasanovic's haunting film tells the story of the occupation of Srebrenica using archive videos and diary recordings of his father.

»I am the River, the River is Me«: Petr Lom's documentary shows the deep connection of Māori tribal leader Ned Tapa and his community to the Whanganui River in Aotearoa, which was the first body of water in the world to be recognized as a legal entity.

»State of Silence«: Santiago Maza follows four Mexican journalists who risk their lives to follow their calling to seek truth and veracity in a country where corruption and impunity still reign after two decades of the so-called war on drugs.

We look forward to providing you with ongoing insights into our programming via our Instagram channel and newsletter in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
