A dance-based approach to Marlene’s life – its contradictions, beauty & attitude, glamour & saying no. Four scenes. Indoors & outdoors. Dance, film, voice, archival material. In shared movement, the separation between performers and audience disappears. This is not a classical piece. It is a performance in raw form – bold, fluid, authentic. A new format in development. Become part of the research audience and thus an essential part of this artistic journey. The finale: An open-air film screening at the former BUFA studio – now Atelier Gardens – exactly where Marlene once stood in front of the camera. Be there when history moves and something new is created.

Set at Atelier Gardens – a former UFA film studio where Dietrich herself once filmed – now one of Berlin’s most cinematic cultural spaces.
