Grace has a rare gift: she can make everyone around her laugh — even in difficult times. The 13-year-old lives in a small village in Kenya, where her parents and eight siblings depend on farming to survive. But with the drought growing worse, their livelihood is under threat. Her father faces a tough decision: to leave the family behind and search for work in the city in order to protect them from famine. This is a film about the power of humor, and about a young girl who refuses to give up hope.
