Director Cut: A journey into the underground where reality, theater, and subculture blur. When filmmaker Sophie Sonntag is hired to shoot an image film for Berlin’s public transport company, she doesn’t suspect it’s all fake—and part of a large-scale art hoax. After the shoot, all footage mysteriously disappears, only to reappear anonymously in her mailbox days later. She investigates and decides to turn the experience into a film. The result: a 90-minute docu-fiction that takes the audience deep into the underground—both literally and metaphorically.
