Valentin Thurn

Director Valentin Thurn gained international recognition with 'Taste the Waste - Global Food Waste' and '10 Billion - How can we feed everyone? Both films were huge hits with audiences and won numerous awards at home and abroad. In 2003, he founded ThurnFilm GmbH in Cologne and has since produced films by other authors and directors - always with a focus on socio-political content. In 2022 he was elected as one of the board members of AG Dok.

Gerrit Kemming

Gerrit is the founder and CEO of Quintus Studios, a content powerhouse based in Berlin. Quintus is one of the first production companies worldwide to develop and produce high-quality documentaries at TV level, specifically for a digital audience. Gerrit founded Quintus Studios in 2011 as a one-man operation. Before founding Quintus, he worked in a senior role at IMG Media, where he was responsible for selling documentary and sports licenses.

Hanne Biermann

Hanne began her career as an apprentice at the renowned Suhrkamp publishing house and earned a degree in Media Studies from Bauhaus University Weimar. She worked for DOK Leipzig and in art house cinema, later joining Deckert Distribution in 2019 as festivals and marketing manager, and then Film Harbour. As an alumna of the Locarno-Thessaloniki Industry Academy and Berlinale Talents, she is a regular guest at festivals and film markets worldwide.

Moderation

Margje De Koning

After directing documentaries for 12 years, Margje apart from teaching at the University of Amsterdam, was commissioning editor over 17 years. Also she became head of TV, Radio and NM of IKON (public Broadcaster), before become artistic director of Movies that Matter, she was head of Documentary at EO (Dutch Public Broadcast). She takes part in juries, panels and moderates (pitching) sessions in the filmindustry.
